Retirement

It's nice to finish my career ( not before time) with a win, especially as we have been trying to win this cup (shield) for over 10 years. During my 21 years at the club we have probably had two or three periods where new players join the club and replace the ones who are past their sell by date, the mind still works but the legs don't react any more! I am sure that the new vets who have joined this year, if they can stick together, will give anyone a good game. I am not a good spectator as some referees are aware but I will try to get to the Chester Nomads game next season as I live around the corner from the ground. Hopefully the team may yet travel to France and I look forward to arranging some hard fixtures if the trip goes ahead. Thanks for the memories! Chris Clarke

Clarky it's been a pleasure and a honour to have played with such a gentleman and its with sadness that you have decided to give up your Saturdays to relax and go shopping.
Best wishes
